Is Deutsche Bank Going To Implode?

Hello MarketClub members everywhere. I'm thinking most of the public thought that all of this bank garbage was behind them, but the reality is there's still a lot of real problems out there many of which the Fed will not own up to. I have said for some time that the Federal Reserve system is out of whack and up a creek without a paddle.

Well, it looks as though Deutsche Bank AG (NYSE:DB) is imploding this morning as it stock sinks with massive withdrawals from hedge funds and the public is not helping matters. With a huge debt load that it can't possibly support Deutsche Bank is in trouble and its only savior at this time is the Merkle regime. However, if they step in it only kicks the can down the road to another day. I'm sure there are still some folks around who remember the hyperinflation in Germany in the 30s. This terrible time was the beginning of an economic climate that gave birth to the Nazi regime. Nobody wants to see that happen again.

Everybody was worried about the financial system in Greece, but we are talking about Germany now which has a far greater footprint and significance in the EU. If Germany begins to totter, the rest of Europe cannot be far behind.

Will Tonight's Debate Move The Markets?

Hello MarketClub members everywhere. It's estimated that there will be up to 100 million people watching tonight's debate. Never before have there been that many people so involved and so intrigued by a political debate. Never before has the country been so divided in so many ways.

MarketClub's Mid-day Market Report

Tonight's debate is going to be historic in the sense that we have never seen two more famous or infamous people depending on your viewpoint duke it out for 90 minutes in prime time. The question is, how are the debates going to affect the markets? That is a question that cannot be answered with any logic. What I do know is that the Trade Triangles will catch any nuances that come out of the debates.

Last week painted a pretty positive picture for most of the markets. Based on the close of business on Friday here are the net percentage changes for the week. Continue reading "Will Tonight's Debate Move The Markets?"

The Battle Continues Between The Bulls And The Bears

Hello MarketClub members everywhere. Choppy, choppy, choppy that's the only way to describe the recent market action as the Bears and the Bulls battle each other for domination. It reminds you of the election and the fight between the Democrats and the Republicans. Eventually, there will be a direction and a trend both politically and financially. My job here at MarketClub is to help you determine that trend and get on the right side – I am of course referring to the financial markets and not the politics of today.

MarketClub's Mid-day Market Report

Indexes: All of the major indices still have their long-term monthly Trade Triangles intact. The intermediate trend based on the weekly Trade Triangles is down which is reflecting the choppy action that we have seen the last few days. What is interesting is if you look at the weekly charts and the weekly RSI you can see that all of the indices are above the 50 support line indicating that the trend is likely to resume to the upside. However, there are no guarantees and I will rely on the weekly Trade Triangles to tell me when to get back on the long side of the market again.
