Do you own a piece of the big Apple?

It's no secret around the Trader's Blog that we love Apple, but we can't help but wonder if our readers do too. Not only are we curious if you share our affinity for the stock with a fruit moniker, but we're also inviting you to join us on Facebook and win a chunk of the big Apple for yourself.

According to the Wall Street Journal, Apple sold it's one millionth iPad on Friday and we sent our own social media director, Susannah, down to the Apple store to get a piece of the action to give to one of our fans.

While you're here, let us know what you think of Apple, and then head over to Facebook to become a fan, and possibly a new iPad owner.

  1. How about a version of the portfolio that will work on iPad? So it will be more basic, but at least I'll be able to see the triangles so I can trade without having to use a cumputer?

    1. Hi Gavriel,
Unfortunately, we would have to completely reformat our set up. The reason MarketClub is inaccessible via iPad is because iPad does not support Adobe Flash. We can't really get around it. Sorry!

  2. I am planning to buy this stock at my next profit-taking which usually coincides with a rise in the price of my planned buys, and is being crazily held up by a e-mail backlog

  3. I can't watch your videos on my new IPad!!! I might sell my Apple stock now!

  4. THe advantage to Apple is all the PC people that have purchased i-phones and found them much easier to work with than Microsoft based products. This will lead ultimately to a larger market share for Apple products. This along with all the kids growing up with i-pods, i pads & i-phones.

  5. If you want some very compelling reasons to NOT use Flash on Mac products (or any other products), go the http://www.apple.com at the bottom left square to read Steve Jobs' own words on the matter. Adobe's response? "Smokescreen!" And I thought, hmm, who has the more cogent answer, and who's the cry baby?

  6. I am amazed at the number of people buying an I-Phone just because it has a particular app that they want. The more people that get involved with an Apple product, the more inclined they wil be to purchase more products. I see amazing things ahead for both the products as well as the stock itself.

  7. How about a 4th choice....I love the stock but think their products are highly over rated....disclosure, own no AAPL products (Thinkpad & Droid) but own 3K shares that were bought last year!

  8. Yes there has been a few times i have tried accessing charts , or vids , and still seeing the 'no' message , which is unfortunate , and i cant see them changing anytime soon just to appease a "few" mac guys on an iphone.

    Cheers Paul

  9. Hi Dennis,

If Mr. Jobs decides to make Flash player (the platform MarketClub charts run on) a part of their products, then it may be possible, but for now, he's left it out.

I apologize for any confusion regarding MarketClub, but just to clear things up, the charge for our service is either $150 per quarter or $449 per year (US dollars). Please give our member service team a call at 410-867-2100.

    2. its not going to happen.
Adobe isn't necessary as we have found out
      for Apple.
Apple just needs to keep the feds out of their way
