Helping Domestically & Abroad - May 2015

For our May INO Cares campaign, INO.com President, Adam Hewison, wanted to make sure that we continued our support for an awesome cause that was brought to his attention by his daughter's father-in-law, Richard Lusk.

Mr. Lusk has been volunteering with Hope For Guatemala for the last four years. He primarily teaches micro-entrepreneurship to the Guatemalan locals with the hopes that they will be able to create and sustain profitable businesses which will remove them from the poverty that is so rampant in Zone 18, the poorest section in Guatemala City.

On May 13th, Mr. Lusk made his annual trip with a check in hand for Jose and Erin Armas who founded Hope For Guatemala.

Hope for Guatemala provides nutritional breakfast and lunch meals to over 250 children, as well as educational instruction, extracurricular activities and vocational training to over 120 families. Among having farmers donate produce, the organization is also farming and starting a fishery to create a sustainable food source for the families of Zone 18.

Mr. Lusk also told us about another organization that he volunteers for, Home Repair Ministries.

Home Repair Ministries (HRM) is a non-profit, Atlanta-based organization which performs home repairs and disaster recovery and rebuilding to those in need. This organization specifically hopes to help vulnerable homeowners (widows, single mothers, the elderly and disabled) with critical home repairs that they are not able to afford or make themselves.

Our contribution would go to a similar project like the work we did last May.

We are so happy to contribute to such wonderful organizations. We wish Mr. Lusk safe travels to Guatemala and we appreciate him hand delivering our donations.
