It's An All Syrian Headache Of A Weekend

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Friday, the 6th of September.

Early this morning, I had a reporter call me in regards to the non-farm payrolls and my thoughts on what I expected. I must admit, non-farm payrolls was the furthest thing from my mind as I believe the market and the world is becoming consumed with Syria.

It seems we have half of the world against us, including Russia and China, which is not a good thing. Why we did not wait for the UN to provide some political cover is beyond me. I think President Obama has unfortunately dug a big hole for himself and is not sure how to get out of it. Continue reading "It's An All Syrian Headache Of A Weekend"

Here's A Little Stock That Is Primed For Big Gains

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Thursday, the 5th of September.

With all of the major indices in a choppy sideways pattern, it has become a stock picker's market. One stock that I like is Dollar General (NYSE:DG). This stock meets all of the criteria I look for in a stock:

1) It is in a strong uptrend.
2) It has just broken out to new highs.
3) It is coming from a strong base, capable of carrying it 20%+ higher.

Today, I will put Dollar General under a microscope and see if it is worthy of an investment.

Would you buy stock in Dollar General? Continue reading "Here's A Little Stock That Is Primed For Big Gains"

Today's Video Update: Is Dennis Rodman Our Official Ambassador To North Korea? Maybe The White House Should Ask Him To Go To Syria; Crazier Things Have Been Known To Happen and It's Only Tuesday!

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Monday, the 3rd of September.

Well, here we are in a brand new trading month and there is a lot going on. I think front and center we have to be concerned about Syria and what's going to happen. Speaker Boehner came out today and said he will support President Obama's action of limited engagement with Syria.

This attitude goes against three quarters of the American people who do not want to see any kind of intervention. Every poll I have seen indicates that most Americans do not want to be involved in Syria in anyway. Continue reading "Today's Video Update: Is Dennis Rodman Our Official Ambassador To North Korea? Why Gold Is Making A Comeback

Gold (FOREX:XAUUSDO) is having a summer revival. The price of gold touched $1,420 an ounce this week, a three-and-a-half month high, as escalating tensions in the Middle East, volatile currency markets and renewed demand for jewelry in China and India pushed prices higher.

Gold has surged 15 percent since sinking to $1,212 an ounce, its lowest level in almost three years, on June 27. A gain of 20 percent or more would put the metal back in a bull market.

Gold's resurgence follows a rough ride this year.

Gold slumped 4.8 percent in the first three months of 2013 as the outlook for the economy improved while inflation remained subdued. Continue reading "Why Gold Is Making A Comeback"

Today's Video Update: Syria, The End of Summer and What's Ahead

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and Co-creator of MarketClub, with your mid-day market update for Friday, the 30th of August.

The U.K. Nixes Their Involvement In Syria, Should The U.S. Go It Alone?
When the vote was tallied last night in the British Parliament, the U.K. effectively dropped out of supplying any military support in Syria. This vote put the Obama administration in a very difficult spot, should the U.S. go it alone or backdown and lose face? Well, according to our poll, almost 77% of our readers voted that the U.S. should not get involved in Syria. So does the administration go against the will of the people? Only time will tell.

At the moment the world has backed Pres. Obama into a corner, if he doesn't do anything the U.S. is going to look weak and if he lob's in a few cruise missiles he is going to look pathetic at best. There is no win-win solution in either scenario. Continue reading "Today's Video Update: Syria, The End of Summer and What's Ahead"
