Poll: Ukraine Crisis: What Are Your Thoughts?

The European Union is ready to give Ukraine 11 billion euros ($15 billion) in loans and grants over the coming years to help stabilize its economy, the head of the bloc's executive arm said Wednesday. Read the full article here.

Coincidentally, the headline figure of $15 billion for the EU's aid package is the same amount that Russia was prepared to grant Ukraine in loans until the government of President Viktor Yanukovich was ousted last month.

Yanukovich took the Russian loans instead of a wide-ranging trade and economic agreement with the EU, a move that fueled the protests that led to his ouster.

Barroso said that an agreement was still on the table, and the EU is prepared to provisionally grant Ukraine the benefits deriving from it before a full ratification. Ukraine's industrial and agricultural exporters could save some 900 million euros annually through reduced tariffs, the Commission said.

"The situation in Ukraine is a test of our capability and resolve to stabilize our neighborhood and to provide new opportunities for many, not just a few," Barroso told reporters in Brussels. "We need to be up to this challenge."

What are your thoughts on the situation in the Ukraine? Below are several polls to vote on and of course we would love to hear your thoughts on the matter.

Do you think Vladimir Putin is going to take over all of Ukraine?

Your thoughts on FaceBook buying WhatsApp?

The big news today, at least in the internet/financial world, is FaceBook’s purchase of WhatsApp, an instant messaging service. WhatsApp has 55 employees, 450 million users and was started a little over 4 years ago. It also makes very little money. The price tag for WhatsApp is rumored to be $19 billion dollars, $4 billion in cash and the balance in FaceBook stock.

In essence, FaceBook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB) is buying 450 million eyeballs to make a major move into the mobile space. Do you think it was a mistake to buy WhatsApp and what effect do you think this acquisition will have on the stock of FaceBook?

Do you think FaceBook's stock will go up or down from here?

Poll: What Best Describes Your Position Heading Into Next Month?

With January coming to a close, 2014 is certainly off to a rough start. Looks like the DOW will close down about 4% for the month, the S&P 500 down close to 2.5% and the NASDAQ down around .80%. And, it doesn't look like the news is going to get better any time soon.

The Fed announced this week they are going to cut another $10 billion from their $75 billion bond buying program, to make it $65 Billion. When will they pull the rug out completely?

Jobless claims rose more than expected by 19,000, to make 348,000 total claims. The four week moving average for new claims, considered a better measure of underlying labor market conditions as it irons out week-to-week volatility, edged up 750 to 333,000.

With all of that in mind, we wanted to ask....

What best describes your position heading into next month?

When Did Financial Wellness Matter To You?

As you might expect, the older people get, generally the more money they have saved. According to Fidelity Investments, by age 35, you should have saved an amount equal to your annual salary. By age 45, you should have saved three times your annual salary. At age 55, you should have five times your salary and when you retire at age 67, you should have eight times your annual pay (1).

While these guidelines don't guarantee any future financial wellness, it is sometimes helpful to have a savings goal for your future financial well-being.

As daunting as those guidelines may sound, we were wondering...

At what age did you first start considering your own financial wellness?
