10 Tech Stocks On the Move

Hello traders and MarketClub members everywhere. Today I'm going to look at 10 well-known, big name tech stocks. Some of these stocks are doing well and some are struggling. I'll analyze each of these stocks using a simple, time tested approach. I will be using several technical tools that you can use to determine which stocks to buy and which stocks you should avoid at all costs.

Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA)
Amazon.com Inc. (NASDAQ:AMZN)
eBay Inc. (NASDAQ:EBAY)
Facebook Inc. (NASDAQ:FB)

Groupon Inc. (NASDAQ:GRPN)
Netflix Inc. (NASDAQ:NFLX)
Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ:SBUX)

A Negative Sign For Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA)

Hello traders and MarketClub members everywhere! It has been quite a week. In today's video, I am going to look at Alibaba Group Holding Limited (NYSE:BABA) and share with you what I think could be going on in this hot stock.

Also on my radar today, Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ:SBUX), Cisco Systems Inc. (NASDAQ:CSCO), and Big Lots Inc. (NYSE:BIG). All three of these stocks gave major signals yesterday and I will be discussing their potential moves in the near-term.

I will be reviewing crude oil (NYMEX:CL.Z14.E) and gold (FOREX:XAUUSDO) to see if there's any changes in their overall direction. Lastly, I will be looking at something that's quite unusual in all three major indices that could be a clue to the next short-term move.

As always, we invite your comments and feedback below this post. Please feel free to provide us future video topic suggestions.

Every success with MarketClub,

Coffee - Starbucks' Achilles' Heel

Today, I am going to be analyzing the relationship between Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ:SBUX) and its main raw commodity, coffee beans.

Let me start off by saying that I really like Starbucks and the coffee it sells. In fact, my favorite drink at Starbucks is a Venti Coffee Frappuccino with one third the ice, blended five times.

Major Challenges

Starbucks faces a major challenge, one it cannot control - the price of its major commodity, coffee.

With one of the worst droughts in history hitting Brazil's coffee belt region, it is rapidly pushing prices higher. This is no ordinary drought as it is forcing more than 140 cities in Brazil to ration water. Reports in Brazilian newspapers indicate that some neighborhoods are receiving water only every three days. This is serious, as Brazil produces most of the world's coffee.

With Coffee (NYBOT:KC.H14.E) prices at 14-month highs, there is little to suggest that this trend is going to change any time soon. It would appear as though early predictions are indicating that coffee supplies could be 5 million bags lower than consumption for the 2014–2015 season. Is This A Dead Cat Bounce?

Hello traders everywhere! Adam Hewison here, President of INO.com and co-creator of MarketClub, with your video update for Friday, the 7th of February.

After getting pummeled the past several weeks, the markets recovered some this week and appear as though the indices are going to close out either flat or with modest gains. Many popular stocks are showing gains on average of about 3%, not a bad move given how much they were pushed down.

Gold and crude oil also moved in the same direction, each gaining on average a little less than 1% for the week. The mighty Dollar on the other hand did not fare so well this past week, losing close to 1% in heavy interbank trading. Continue reading "Is This A Dead Cat Bounce?"

Starbucks Corp. (NASDAQ:SBUX) Under The Microscope

Let me start off by saying that I think Starbucks Corp.(NASDAQ:SBUX) makes a great cup of coffee and provides a very good service. Having said that, I don't like the stock of Starbucks right now.

Today a monthly red Trade Triangle triggered, which is the first monthly Trade Triangle we have had in 14 months. This is a significant technical development and it indicates changes in the picture and direction of Starbucks and should not be ignored. Continue reading "Starbucks Corp.
