What A Week! Weekend Video Update

Hello fellow traders everywhere. Adam Hewison here co-founder of MarketClub with your weekend update for the trading week ending on 9/23/11.

What a week!

Depending on what side of the market you are on, it was either a terrible week or a fantastic week.

Fortunately, for MarketClub members they were on the right side of the market's, based on our Trade Triangle technology.

We have said this before, picking tops of bottoms is not where you make the money. You make your money catching the middle part of the big move.

Out of the 6 markets that we track, only one, the dollar index, closed with a positive gain for the week.

The metals market, melted with silver losing an astounding 23.52% and gold ending the week, down 8.57%.

The S&P 500 Index, which put in a positive week 2 weeks ago, gave back everything and then some with a loss of 6.54%.

Both crude oil, and the Reuters/Jefferies CRB Commodity Index, both tumbled producing losses of 8.33% and 8.41% for the week.

The only bright spot for the bulls was the US dollar index which closed up 2.29%.

It would appear that all the predictions for higher gold prices and lower dollars went out the window last week. It proves once again, that the market tells you what it wants to do. Our Trade Triangle technology, gave precise and very clear signals to MarketClub members on the direction of all the markets.

Let's go take a look at the markets and see how we can preserve and protect and grow your capital in 2011.

The Battle Continues Between the Bulls and the Bears - Weekend Video Update

Hello fellow traders everywhere. Adam Hewison here co-founder of MarketClub with your weekend update for the trading week ending on 9/16/11.

The battle between the Bulls and Bears continues in the equity markets. This past week the Bulls won with a very positive 5.35% return.

Out of the 6 markets that we track, only two closed with a positive gain for the week and they were the S&P 500 index and crude oil. We consider both of these moves counter trend rallies.

Both the silver and gold markets lost ground last week, with silver closing down 1.89% and gold dropping 2.36%.

The Dollar Index saw some profit taking and closed down .85% for the week.

The Reuters/Jefferies CRB Commodity Index also came under pressure and closed down 1.38% in line with the general trend.

Let's go take a look at the markets and see how we can preserve and protect and grow your capital in 2011.

Washington's dirty little secret they don't want you to know about

Have you filled up the gas tank lately?

If you have then you know it is a pain at the pump for everybody in America. But the real pain is something most middle Americans don't even know about, and I'm not even talking about the 47% of the country that does not pay taxes. No, I'm talking about the people who do pay taxes and work their butts off to make a living.

Like a lot of Americans, I am not a happy camper and I am not happy with the incredible misdirection this country is going in with its spend, spend, spend policies. I'm not sure what its like in your house, but in mine if we can afford something, we can afford something, but we don't have the luxury of printing money by the truckload to spend beyond our means. The main problem is, these spending policies are only going to further weaken our economy.

This afternoon Pres. Obama is to make a speech explaining how we're supposed to get out of this mess - or how it is often described by this current White House - "potential financial Armageddon." In my opinion if there are not significant spending cuts, we're going to see a lot of pressure on the market. Unfortunately I think this speech will probably be long on rhetoric and short on details. That seems to be the style in Washington these days.

Okay I promised you the dirty little secret that Washington doesn't want you to know about and here goes... Continue reading "Washington's dirty little secret they don't want you to know about"

President Obama's address from the Oval Office last night was a good speech...

Unfortunately the President seemed to miss the point - capping BP's huge gusher off the Gulf. Coincidentally, I read today that BP now stands for BIG PROBLEM and not British Petroleum.

Surfing around the web today I read comments like, "if we could put a man on the moon 40 years ago and 238,857 miles away, how is it that we can't cap a well that's 40 miles off the US coastline in deep water?" I, myself, am asking the same question.

I believe that the President missed the boat on this one. He has not focused the entire might of the United States on getting this problem fixed. As they say, he was a day late, and in this case, billions of dollars short.

How do you rate the President's management of the Gulf oil spill?

It seemed outrageous to me that we had local governments wanting to get to work on clean-up and conservation, but were having to wait for permits from the Army Corps of Engineers and other Federal agencies to start making decisions. The reality is, the Federal government is huge and has no idea what the left hand is doing in regards to the right-hand.
